You should see an Elite guard armed with a Mauser rifle and she is trying to run away, take her out before she is away. Use caution while entering the next area, have your Mauser rifle ready, aim at the far side and move slowly, use Snooper rifle if the area is too dark for you. I recommened you stay as healthy as you can before the boss fight. Before the boss part, I recommened you use Mauser rifle and Sten as much as possible, head right first, when you barely see the gate and guard post, scope in and move slowly, you can take out the next two guards for a safe distance, head further to grab the 9mm ammo and Tesla cells. If you passed the Paderborn Village, you should know how to be sneaky, so slowly open the door, use Sten, MP 40 or Mauser rifle to finish the 3 guards in the courtyard. The alarm siren can be turned off only, once the area is cleared from the enemies fully.Alright, time to get outside and head into the darkness, don't open the door yet. If in the in the area exists a Kommandant or Kampfkommandant, than he will request for backup and more powerful reinforcement squads will arrive in addition to the normal reinforcements. That will result in the enemy reinforcements being deployed to the area. In this game, the alarm can be rised up by any enemy, including dogs and robots. The alarm boxes have not changed since from the previous games, but this time, they are not displayed on the players minimap. However, destroying all alarm boxes in the area will not affect the Übercommanders, since they are still be able to call up for the reinforcements, despite all alarm boxes being destroyed and the alarm siren not rising up. Once the all alarm boxes being destroyed, and the commander(s) noticed the player, the audios where commander «calling for support» will not be played as well as siren sound rised up, the addiitonal squads of enemy reinforcements also would not appear, despite the fact that the interface circle of the commander will change its colour to red and its status will be showing «Broadcasting alarm». Destroying the all alarm boxes in the area with the Commander(s), before they rised up the alarm, will make the officer(s) unable to call up for reinforcements, about which is stating of the tutorial's loading screen hints. But, this time, alarm boxes can be destroyed by player or by enemy's fire. They will be broadcasting the alarm siren same as before, once the backup request being confirmed by radio operator. They are marked on the level map with a red bell icon. Their functionality resembles their predecessors, but with a few differences. The alarm boxes also appearing in the third game of series from MachineGames. In the second game of series, the alarm boxes functionality have not changed much, but this time, the alarm will not be turned off as least one of the commanders is alive in the area, regardless if there are no more enemies left. Unlike in the previous games, only commander able to rise up the alarm. The alarm will be broadcasted until the player kill 2 waves of reinforcements and all previous soldiers in the area or kill just all commanders. Once it's been done, the alarm box will broadcast the siren as well as start flash red, which will follow by the the enemy backup arrival in the area. In the first game of the serie they function, as an alarm siren broadcasters, which can be heard once the commander(s) rised up the alarm, by requesting backup and getting response from a radio operator. The alarm boxes return to the Wolfenstein series once again in MachineGames timeline. The one particular alarm box can be found in one of the first rooms of in Escape! mission, near some conversing Germans which is broken however even before the player arrives. Sometimes the enemy backup will arrive once the alarm is sounded. Prevent any alarm from being sounded, especially in "no alert" levels. Enemies will be alerted if they notice the destroyed alarm box. One way to prevent an alarm box from being sounded is its destruction: shoot, kick, or otherwise attack it until it breaks and bursts into sparks. The big red button can switch alarms off or on by the player.
